BTECs qualifications combine practical and theoretical knowledge in a particular subject area and they are available at a range of levels. BTEC First qualifications are level 1-2 and can be studied alongside or instead of GCSEs. BTEC National qualifications are equivalent to other level 3.
Where can they lead?
BTEC First qualifications can lead students into a range of further study at level 3:
- A Levels (may also have some GCSE requirements)
- T Levels
- Advanced Apprenticeship
- BTEC National
BTEC National Courses can act as a stepping stone into:
- Higher National Certificates and Higher National Diploma
- Foundation and Honours Degree
- Higher and Degree Apprenticeships
