The FutureMe Enterprise Challenge 2019 is officially underway!
The FutureMe Enterprise Challenge is a joint programme of activity between FutureMe and the three football clubs in the region, Middlesbrough FC, Newcastle United FC, and Sunderland AFC. Students taking part benefit from receiving the Premier League Core Programme and FutureMe workshops which are all delivered in school throughout the summer term. The premier league core programme introduces students to business and enterprise in the context of a football club, learning that football is about so much more than the 11 players on the pitch! Students are supported in applying their new knowledge and skills to a challenge set by FutureMe, details of which are below.
Year 9 students from schools across the region were invited to attend launch events held the five universities in the region; Durham, Newcastle, Northumbria, Sunderland, and Teesside, during which they had an introduction to the football club they will be working with, had an introduction to the challenge, experienced a university campus and took part in a campus tour, and considered their future options with our higher education ambassador workshop.
