The UCAS application cycle for 2026 entry is open and we have collected the key dates for your diaries below:
| 29 April 2025 | Courses starting in 2026 are available in the UCAS search tool |
| 13 May 2025 | Undergraduate applications open for 2026 entry – students can start their applications and send them to teachers for references and approval |
| 2 September 2025 | Completed 2026 entry undergraduate applications can be submitted to UCAS |
| 15 October 2025 | (18:00 UK time) Equal consideration date for applications to the universities of Oxford and Cambridge, and for most courses in medicine, dentistry, and veterinary medicine/science |
| 14 January 2026 | (18:00 UK time) Equal consideration date for applications for most undergraduate courses |
| 26 February 2026 | UCAS Extra opens – applicants who have used all five choices and are not holding any offers may be able to add another choice in their application |
| 30 June 2026 | (18:00 UK time) Applications received by this deadline will be sent to universities and colleges. After this time, applications are automatically entered into Clearing |
| 1 July 2026 | Last date to add an Extra choice in an application |
| 2 July 2026 | Clearing opens for eligible applicants, and vacancies are displayed in the UCAS search tool |
| 24 September 2026 | (18:00 UK time) Final date for 2026 entry applications |
| 19 October 2026 | Last date to add a Clearing choice |
